San Diego Comic Con 2010 Thursday Line Up

I find it kind of weird that the day starts with Megamind which stars Will Ferrell and Tina Fey and ends with Lost Boys: The Thirst….

Megamind (10-11am)

– Will Ferrell voices Megamind a baby jettisoned to Earth along with Metro Man when their planet is destroyed. Megamind grows up inside a prison where he become a maniacal villain while Metro Man grows up in Metro City and becomes an adored hero.

Danny Elfman (10:30-11:30)

– The legendary composer will talk about his 25 year relationship with Tim Burton and will be joined by a Warner executive and announce how they will celebrate the occasion.

The Hobbit (10:30-11:30)

– TheOneRing.net will discuss the two upcoming Hobbit movies or lack thereof since MGM can’t seem to get an accountant worth a damn.

Tron: Legacy (11:15-12:45)

– Patton Oswalt emcees the discussion on this winter’s biggest movie. Stars Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxleitner, Olivia Wilde, Garrett Hedlund and Michael Sheen will be appearing.

Caprica, Battlestar and Beyond (12:00-1:00)

– Original Battlestar cast member and new BSG baddie Richard Hatch will host a discussion on the history of the Galactica franchise including the upcoming BSG movie.

Burn Notice (1:00- 2:00)

– Bruce Campbell and creator Matt Nix talk about the filming of cable’s top show and discuss the future of the show.

G.I. Joe (1:00-2:00)

– Hasbro heads talk about the Joe toy line and the new G.I. Joe Renegades cartoon series beginning this fall.

Battle: Los Angeles and Salt (1:00-2:00)

– Sony takes the wraps off of the new Angelina Jolie bomb…I mean thriller and the new sci-fi (?) actioneer starring Aaron Eckhart

White Collar (2:15-3:15)

– Somehow an hour will be used up talking about this boring show starring Jack and Shit and Kelly Kapowski.

RED (2:15-3:15)

– Graphic novel RED makes it’s way to the big screen starring Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren and Morgan Freeman. Creator Warren Ellis will be there showing off new footage from the film. Do yourself a favor and check out the trailer

Masters of the Web (3:00-4:00)

– Large panel discussion with some of the big personalities from the blogosphere including sites like: Comingsoon.net, JoBlo.com, LatinoReview.com, CHUD.com and more.

Psych (3:30-4:30)

– Why go listen to Joss Whedon or JJ Abrams when you could sit down for an hour and talk about a fake psychic cop show on cable?

Entertainment Weekly: The Visionaries (3:30-4:30)

– JJ Abrams and Joss Whedon will talk about what the future holds for film, games and the general world of pop culture. Nerdgasms will be felt.

Transformers Prime (4:30-5:30)

– Footage and characters designs from the new animated series will be shown by producers.

Behind the Music: Composing for Sci-Fi, Horror, Fantasy, Film and TV (4:30-5:30)

– Composer Michael Giacchino, John Ottman and more talk about the process of making music for film and TV.

The Anti-Heroes of Showtime (4:45-5:45)

– Actors and creators from Showtime series Dexter, Weeds, Nurse Jackie and Californication share their show’s inner workings.

The Expendables (4:45-5:45)

– Stallone assembles the greatest action cast ever to BLOW…..SH**…..UP!!

Dexter (6:00-7:00)

– America’s favorite serial killer….killer is back. What to expect with the new season from Michael C. Hall and producers.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (6:00-7:00)

– Edgar Wright and the cast discuss the screen translation of the popular series.

Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog (7:30-8:30)

– Dr. Horrible goes Rocky Horror on us as you can sit and watch all three acts of the Joss Whedon epic and sing a long with the Doc!

BBC America (8:00-11:00)

– Watch the full episode premiere of Being Human and the finale of Doctor Who.

Lost Boys: The Thirst (10:00-12:00)

– Premiere of the third installment in the Lost Boys franchise. Hopefully it can get no worse than it did in The Tribe but let’s face it even shitty movies like The Tribe still outdo Twilight.

Whew! And that’s just day one!
