If you were a child of the 80’s as I was then you may remember this magical thing called a television. And this thing called television produced shows that came on between September and May. Those were called seasons. Want to watch a new episode of your favorite show in summer? Sorry Skippy you were boned. But when September came around it was worth the wait. Before these shows started every week they would begin with things known as theme songs. They told you who starred in the show while playing a theme song. It was quite wonderful.

Before the crushing weight of reality television and 13 episode half seasons. Before we became so cynical and dissected every single bit of our favorite shows week by week to see what it meant to the “overall story arc”. There was a golden age of TV.

Of course this list is a work of opinion because we all hold different memories of television from when we were younger. Let us know what some of your favorites were.
