Here is the new trailer for EA’s follow up to their excellent survival horror in space tale, Dead Space. I’m loving the look of this trailer. It’s like a fu**ed up rorschach test. And it looks like Isaac got a new transforming helmet…sweet. I am really looking forward to this game because the first one was the first games in a long while to truly give me some chills while I was playing.

UFC Undisputed 2010, the sequel to last year’s awesome MMA fighting game, is being released on May 25. The followup adds more of just about everything that fans wanted in the first game. More fighting styles, more create a fighter choices and of course more fighters. Actually a crapload of new fighters. Over 30 new fighters to be precise. This is one massive roster and I can not wait to play this game. I loved last year deep fighting system and I will no doubt play this year’s version even more with this huge roster of fighters.

So That’s What The Side Effect Of Proactive Is

Another day, another Nightmare on Elm St. article. This one is pretty short and sweet. A new up close picture of Jackie Earle Haley as the horror icon. The movie is opening Friday and should have a huge weekend before getting raped next weekend by Iron Man 2 so let’s hope it makes enough to warrant a sequel.

Pretty f’n good if I do say so myself. I think this movie is gonna go beyond people’s expectations.

And Beakman’s World…..At 11

Coming from the wonderful mind of Paul Zaloom, Beakman’s World ran for four seasons on Saturday mornings on CBS. Beakman and his rat friend Lester and his switching females of Josie, Liza and Phoebe would mix fun skits with scientific learning. It was all kinds of awesome.

Below you will find some clips and you can see why Beakman was the man. You say you watched Bill Nye………..gaaaaaay.

Oh and if your curiosity got the better of you and you wanted to know what happened to Josie and Liza. Josie was played by Alanna Ubach who some of you may know as Naomi from Waiting… and Still Waiting… and Eliza Schneider voiced over 50 episodes of South Park and has done videogame voice work in Assassin’s Creed 2, Dragon Age, Everquest 2 and over a dozen more games. And yes…they both ended up kind of hot. As far as Phoebe goes…nobody cares.

Anyway here some clips.

Ghostface Must Be Done With The BK Advertisements

Guess there is no time like the present to start the hype machine. Even though Scream 4 does not open until Aprill 11, 2011 the first poster has already been released for the reborn franchise.

The tagline for the movie seems appropriate since Scream was released way back in 1996……yes Scream came out 14 years ago. Welcome to nostalgia. It gets worse with age.

The movie reunites Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox Arquette and hubby David Arquette and will see a new ghostface come after Sydney ten years after the last film. Don’t worry if you are having a problem remembering Scream 3 it’s probably because the movie sucked. Scream 4 is being written by Kevin Williamson who penned the first two (good) films.

Take a look at the first poster below.

DC Wants You To Look Under The Red Hood

Animated comic book films are definitely hit or miss. For every Green Lantern: First Flight or Hulk Vs. you get a Batman: Gotham Knights or Doctor Strange. With DC’s newest though, Batman: Under the Red Hood, I am cautiously optimistic.

For those of you not familiar with the Red Hood storyline or who is under the hood I will not ruin it for you here. Go read the the story which is in trade paperback form now.

The DVD stars the voices of Bruce Greenwood as Batman, Jensen Ackles as Red Hood and the king of awesome Neil Patrick Harris as Nightwing. While I am a bit bummed that Kevin Conroy is not doing the Dark Knight’s voice Greenwood sounds up for the part.

And on a side note. At the end of the preview you here the distinct laugh of the Joker but you may be surprised to know that it is not Mark Hamill voicing the Clown Prince it is none other than John (Bender and Marcus Fenix) Di Maggio.

Take a look at the preview below.

Want A Reason To Sit Through The Iron Man 2 Credits?

28 Apr

by: Captain Oblivious

Remember two years ago when Iron Man hit theaters and the first screeners started spreading word that it would be wise to sit through the credits? And if you did you were rewarded with Samuel L. Jackson’s first scene as Nick Fury. Now with the release of Iron Man 2 a little more than a week away the easter egg has been revealed and it is a BIG ONE. If you want to be surprised then stop reading. This is called a spoiler alert. But I like to call it idiot proofing. If you want to know how awesome this is then read on.

Apparently Agent Coulsen from S.H.I.E.L.D. pulls up to a newly created crater in the New Mexico desert and there are men inside working on something. He makes a phone call and says, “Sir, we found it”. Then we pan back to reveal this…..
